Chapter 7: How to Use the Jazz Melodic Minor Scale
The jazz melodic minor scale is derived from the traditional/classical melodic minor scale. The traditional Melodic Minor scale has the b3rd, b6th, and b7th scale degree. The jazz Melodic Minor scale has the b3rd, and the raised 6th, and 7th scale degree going up AND down. It is the most used over a dominant seventh chord.
In this video Dr. Klee will discuss and demonstrate how to use the Jazz Melodic minor scale into your improvisation!
